The pair does not work together as well as they used to, as Miles notices his older colleague gradually change. Previously compassionate, kind and fair Peter Parker has become aggressive, ruthless, even bloodthirsty.
Everything he does is intimidating, and you feel the power behind every movement. Thanks in no small part to the fact that you get to play as him for a stretch. Gone is the gadget wheel that you have to pause the action to access. Instead, there are 4 combat abilities for each character, and 4 shared gadgets. Peter got jealous of Miles’ venom powers – sharing the name of the villain despite having no connection and never being mentioned – so he stole Doc Ock’s arms and made them his own.

Nothing in the trophy list is missable so if you want to go for the platinum that’s still easily attainable without having to start a new playthrough. If you do decide to start a new playthrough however, you’ll now have access to the Ultimate Difficulty setting, giving you a brand new level of challenge to dive into (should you want to). As Miles swings off to save the day, Peter and MJ share a loving kiss beginning this new chapter of their life. In May’s house an unspecified amount of time later, MJ is recording her new podcast “The New Normal” before joining Peter in the kitchen as he prepares pancakes for Miles, Ganke, Rio, and Hailey. However, the game’s open-world formula, with occasional pacing issues, feels a bit repetitive to some. The integration of Peter Parker and Miles Morales adds depth to the experience, making it a must-play for superhero fans despite minor shortcomings. The previous games were highly adored for accurate web swinging for traversal, and now with the addition of the Web Wings, exploration should be a lot more unique and even quicker without the need to swing all the time. Furthermore, both characters have distinct abilities, so it feels fresh to switch them up. Peter Parker’s symbiote black suit gives him unique abilities, while Miles places focus on his bio-electric skills. This makes the gameplay extensive, with higher replayability chances.
Movement is handled very similarly to the previous games in the series. Using their web shooters, the protagonists can swing between and above buildings while performing aerial acrobatics. Though the movement system is built upon the foundations from the previous installments, there are some new features as well.

The initial trailer gave us a look at Peter Parker and Miles Morales in action together, with Venom joining the fight at the very end. During PlayStation’s September 2023 State of Play, Insomniac showcased a closer look at Marvel’s New York. Senior Creative Director Bryan Intihar noted that this version of New York is nearly twice the size of the original game, thanks to the addition of the Queens and Brooklyn boroughs. The release date for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was announced at Summer Game Fest 2023 by Insomniac Games.
Eight years later, Spider-Man takes on the villain Mister Negative, working to stop his plans to control New York City’s criminal underworld. Using OK8386 GAME -Man’s ability to shoot webs and sling himself around New York, players follow Peter’s story while fighting villains along the way. Suits are the key behind unique abilities in terms of both combat and traversal. The sequel is sure to introduce plenty of new Spidey suits for both Peter and Miles, though another layer of depth could be on the way.
And although it means the loss of the endlessly entertaining sequences of a masked up Spidey taking the subway, it shows once again that Insomniac are one of the few developers capable of showing off the flashy speeds of an SSD. And although it makes the larger map somehow feel smaller, the density of detail crammed in each city block helps make the world feel alive. The one universal truth among gamers is that all lamented the Mary Jane Watson portions of 2018’s game. Plodding in execution and pace, they served only to show how mundane a Spider-Man game could be without Spider-Man. Thankfully, the developers have taken note and, although they haven’t omitted alternative character sections, they have substantially improved them.
However, he often struggles with keeping his personal life separate from his superhero life to protect his loved ones from harm. Arriving on May 6, otherwise known as Free Comic Book Day, is a prequel story to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This slice of adventure is set to pit both Peter and Miles against a “new Super Villain whose powers they [don]t understand.” That villain being The Hood. Each and every suit will reportedly feature a ‘symbiote variant version’ according to FandomWire. This could see our heroes using Venom’s symbiote powers to their advantage. As a result, dozens of unique powers could be in play to mix things up like never before.
It showed both Peter Parker and Miles Morales fighting off henchmen, before offering a first glimpse at Venom. The Symbiote Saga from the comics will influence the story, as Peter and others will be affected by Venom. However, this version will be a very different adaptation, as the Venom Symbiote will be worn by Harry Osborn to begin with – Peter’s close friend who was noticeably absent from the original due to a critical illness. Not much is known about Spider-Man 2’s story, but we did get a lot more insight with the story trailer. Picking up after the events of the first game, the sequel will see Peter Parker and Miles Morales cross paths with the iconic anti-hero Venom.
The Spider-Bot will be on this building, near the very top of the Western wall. Locate the main road in the North-East of the district that runs North to South. Check along this road for a tall building with a black tip, and a roof that slopes downwards towards the South. The Prowler Stash on the Braxton tower will be just to the East of it. Near where the train tracks stop (on the map screen, at least), look for a building under construction with a yellow crane over it.
Shortly after the first gameplay sequence debuted, devs shared new details on Spider-Man 2’s moment-to-moment gameplay. First up, in an interview with Famitsu, Insomniac’s creative director Bryan Intihar teased the map “is about two times larger than the previous titles” thanks to the addition of Queens and Brooklyn. The new trailer also showed off the new webwings mechanic, as well as the AR tech fitted to Peter’s and Miles’ lenses. Better still, players can expect the sequel to feature more than 65 suits based on the comics, films, and original designs. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC offers impressive scalability across different hardware configurations.

Happily, all these ray tracing and frame generation accoutrements seemingly won’t preclude Spidey 2 from working on older, slower PCs as well, as the minimum specs are surprisingly reasonable. After Peter is gravely wounded, Harry allows the symbiote to bond with his friend to save his life, only for the symbiote to negatively affect Peter’s personality. After a series of catastrophic events, Miles has to battle Peter to remove the symbiote from Peter’s body.
The woman at the bar is Delilah, a character shown in the art book for 2023’s Across the Spider-Verse movie. She’s a tough-as-nails villain who owns and tends at the Bar With No Name, a hidden establishment for supervillains from New York City. She’s a gifted assassin specializing in hand-to-hand and bladed combat. Traces of the symbiote remain in Peter’s psyche until Miles and Mister Negative fully purge the symbiote from Peter’s body, giving Peter Anti-Venom powers in the process. Working together, Peter, Miles, and Mary Jane destroy the symbiote nests throughout Marvel’s New York, including the meteorite that brought Venom to Earth in the first place.
